Minneapolis – March 29, 2018 – Sportsdigita, the leader in sales enablement software for the sports industry, announced today that company founder and CEO Angelina Lawton was named to Forbes’ list of the Top 30 Most Powerful Women in U.S. Sports. Sportsdigita counts more than 300 professional and collegiate teams as clients, including iconic franchises such as the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Lakers.
“To be mentioned with leaders I have long admired such as Condoleezza Rice, Pamela El, and Dawn Hudson is extremely humbling. This recognition speaks to the tremendous work of our entire team at Sportsdigita,” said Lawton. “Our product is making a tremendous impact for clients and we are continuing to invest heavily in new technologies and innovations that will solve tomorrow’s business challenges.”
Before founding Sportsdigita, Lawton served as an executive at the Tampa Bay Lightning where she recognized that sports teams were failing to provide sponsors with exciting, interactive presentations that met the expectations of C-level executives. Today, Sportsdigita’s cloud-based presentation platform, the Digideck, is utilized by thousands of sales representatives across every segment of the sports industry.
In January, Sportsdigita announced the completion of an investment round from Chicago-based PEAK6 Sports. Industry analysts value the sales enablement sector at $700 million annually today with expectations to reach $5 billion by 2021.
